I spent most of today cleaning my future in-laws house as they prepare to move. Among other things in the house was a 100% complete Atari XE Computer (including box). I don't know how much such a thing would be worth, but I convinced them to hold on to it for a while, since their original plan was to throw it out.

If anyone has any ideas as to the value of it, I'd like to know.

There's one on ebay from B & C computers for $40 right now that is "like new" in box. I usually see them for $30 to $40.
Not really a lot, but you should just get yourself miner 2049er and bust that thing out of the box.

Is it a 65XE, 130 XE, or XE Game System? Even in poor condition, any of those would probably be worth at least $30 if boxed with cables. If in nice condition, you could expect more. Brand new would command a nice price as well.

Whatever you do with it, don't throw it away! Even though it's a "computer", it is a great game system.

$10 low end, I would say. You may be able to get more than that if you find someone who is looking for one.

I'm going to check out what kind of XE it is, but there's no way in hell I'd ever let a system get thrown out. Worst case, they get a few bucks for it, since it's been literally sitting in a box in my fiancee's closet for upwards of 20 years.
