when playing after burner on the 32x for a bit i found some hidden msges.
If you hold the some buttons when getting resupplied you get a msg.
i just mush all the buttons not sure if its just xyz or a mix but i get the msg most of the time. there is a new one at each point of getting resupplied.
1st msg is carrier take off " your mission rescue lucy from match's hands"
2nd msg is fuel play "match is approaching equip enough missile!"

one of the last ones is the password "T.K" I entered that at the high score it flashes
"I love Kiyomi"

any know the story to this? I have known of the msges for many years now not sure if anyone know more.

I dont know if it works on other ver ill have to try i have it for all systems nes on up.

[i]If/i] there's a backstory anywhere it's probably on one of the Sega Ages discs.

I actually managed to find a diagnostics screen akin to the arcade in the 32x version of After Burner by pressing Start and something else at start-up. Can't seem to replicate how I did it the first time though.
