I got the Tekken 6 limited edition package for the PS3 and either it's just me or the controller is a piece of junk. It's a wireless only controller so it comes with a little receiver that you plug into the usb port of the PS3. My problem is that it won't maintain a connection. It will connect and as long as I don't press any buttons it will hold the connection but as soon as I do anything other than move the joystick, it loses it's connection. I tried two different pairs of batteries, one a fresh pair and the other a full charges rechargeable pair and the same thing happens either way. Anyone else having problems?

Do you need to register it in the Accessory Menu?

Just a thought, it could also be interference, 2.4 & 5.8Ghz are common household frequencies. It could be a router, a wireless telephone or a microwave oven.

Well the PS3 is right next to my wireless router for my internets. I'll have to check that out.

Try changing the channel on your router if that's the case. I had an issue where my router would cause interference on a certain channel a few years back...though I haven't seen configurable channels on my recent routers.

Still no difference. Turn off the router and still doesn't want to work. It connected. I was pressing the home button on it then it went to the menu but as soon as I press one of the buttons the connection failed again.

I once had an issue like that but with an ATi Remote Wonder. It would drop the connection erratically for no apparent reason. The issue was a badly soldered joint in the receiver. I soldered it and it's been working fine ever since.
