Is there a market for certain Reproduction NES cartridges today? For example, an exclusive, rare Japanese Famicom title in a US cartridge format.

Yes.

For the record, I can recommend the last two. Have a Sweet Home and Recca Pure from Game Reproductions and Airball from Retro USB (complete with box and such). Haven't tried NES Reproductions yet, although none of my dupes seem to make for good donor carts (hence originally going towards game repro instead).

There's a small niche market for them, but they are only worth around $25 or so, as that seems to be the going rate on every site I've seen them for sale at. (I think Final Fantasy II or III might be a bit higher due to extra cost of parts, but otherwise, it's around $25.)

Just so you know, nesrepros is run by leonk from these boards. He's a stand up dude.

Are reproduction titles allowed on eBay?

Not really. In most cases, they are no different than a pirate to eBay's eyes. However, label it like it's your run of the mill release title and no one will really care.

People will try and usually pass off repros as protos too, which usually gets them yanked.

Drat. I was able to create a reproduction of Higemaru Makaishima and Ninja Kun: Ashura no Shou for the NES.

Oh, well...

Yes they are as a matter of fact. I've made a killing selling a few every now and then. Once sold DQ5 for $100 and most nes game's I've been able to get about $50. Only reason I do it is because there's no competition on ebay. So most people that look at the game are like WTF i've never seen this before and they either bid on it or buy it. And I only do it every so often because I am out of a job.
