Incase you're asking yourself who the hell Don Ivan Punchatz even is...

You'd probably recognize him better as the illustrator of this:

I have to wonder... how do people find out about stuff like this? I mean, this guy was only barely associated with the video game scene...

One of these days, I'd love to get a poster of that cover art.

I picked up Doom 3 for the Xbox on the first, started playing yesterday. Wierd... He died October 22, so a few weeks ago.

Hey, that's one iconic piece of game-related artwork. I'll call this a loss.

So...he would have been around 56 or 57 when he painted it, hm? We should strive to be such geeky older men when we get up to that age.
