Dragon's Lair Documentary??!!

While searching for some youtube videos about the classic lasergame Dragon's Lair I came across an interesting video that claims to be a teaser of a documentary about the game. Look here..

There's a couple of links to his fund-raising sites there and it seems he could use some help (it appears as if he's raised about $70). I'm totally in support of the idea and plan on donating a little to support such a great idea. In the spirit of King of Kong:A Fistfull of Quarters and Chasing Ghosts I think that this could be another great documentary in the video game genre.

It's already been featured in the November 2009 issue of Game Room Magazine

I'm a big fan of DL, but, that teaser doesn't really "tease" with anything. It's just footage and stills from the game.

I'd be all for seeing a Dragon's Lair documentary, and if there was some serious evidence of a legit production going on in the teaser ... well, that would be nice.

There's some good info in the commentary on the Blu Ray from Don Bluth, Rick Dyer, and Gary Goldman, and tales of the game's production have been cataloged in various publications over the years.

I'm sure there's enough to cram into a film ... but, there ain't much going on with this production based on what they're sharing.

Agreed, I did notice this on one of those fundraising sites though. Check the last page.. seems legit.

Cool. If they get it off the ground I'll keep an eye on the production.
