It may have taken them awhile but Nintendo is finally blasting into the present(or future for them) and bringing playable demos to the Wii. More specifially, they are bringing WiiWare demos (http://www.gamepro.com/article/news/212854/wiiware-demos-to-debut-this-month/) later this month.

My other two hopes are that A). they extend this to retail games in the same way that Microsoft and Sony have been doing for a while and B). that all those casual gamers will start trying out all that shovelware before they waste money on it. But of course A needs to happen before B can take place. Anyway, although alittle late to the party, this is a good move by Nintendo.

That would be great, though Nintendo would probably go bankrupt if it lets people do this beforehand. LOL

Of course I am kidding, only emphasizing on the fact that most of the Wii games are shovelware.

But this would be a great idea, as you stated above 1 2 P. :D

Not only is it a great idea but think of how easy it would be. The average shovelware game gets made in like a few months so it's not like they couldn't make a demo in a few days. But beyond that I really want demos of the majority of retail release Wii games. It will help take the guessing out of game buying.

That won't happen. Demos aren't even supplied for the majority of the PS360 releases.

That's only true for "your" PS3. The 360 has demos for atleast 95% of all it's content, including games, movies, tv shows and videos(in the form of previews for movies, tv shows and videos).

The only rare few instances where you don't get a demo for a 360 game are for some of the super AAA elite such as Halo 3/ODST, Gears of War 1 and 2, Grand Theft Auto IV and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. But thats still less than 1% of the total amount of games released for 360.
