So who's going to buy one of these? Real question actually. Who has the money to buy one of these? Since Sony is going out of their way with all the gold, they should go spend the extra money to make these systems backwards compatible as well. Go all out.
White, black, and silver - those colors will have nothing against this PS3. Nothing says gaming bling quite like a PS3 Slim, lavishly covered in 24k gold, to distinguish yourself from all other gamers and to prove how insanely rich you are.
To say that this PS3 got the Midas Touch would be quite the understatement, seeing as it looks like King Midas slept on it and drooled big time. It also comes with gold plates to bling up your controller.
Pricing for this thing is unavailable, not that any of us can afford this, nor will seeing the price tag be of any good in this economy. Still, it'd be fun to know, I guess. To make even more expensive, only five of these will be sold, so high-end collectors and filthy rich fanboys would be fighting over this tooth and nail.

I'm not into gold. If I ever do own any other systems I already own, it'll be a Char Aznable Gamecube bundle, Char Aznable GBA SP, or Tales of Symphonia Gamecube bundle. Not interested in anything else.

Why bitch about either? The iphone actually has a use if you really wanted to use it. The Wii would be the perfect collector's item being encased in gold. Think about it. There's no reason to ever turn the system on much less open the box so it will always be in flawless condition. Just think about how great of a door stop it'd make, or a side table decoration.

When am I complaining about Sony making one? They were questions, though I will admit the first one could have been worded a bit better.
Instead of "Who is going to buy one of these," maybe I should have worded it, "Anyone here going to buy one of these?" and then maybe the rest of it would have sounded fine.
I wonder if any of these gold systems would actually go up in price if someone did buy them.

Honestly Kupo with the amount of time you spend crapping on other consoles you should be less than surprised that you'd be flamed in this thread. You can only piss on people's consoles so long.
On topic, that does look kinda neat. I'd rather they just took orders or something on stuff like this rather than manufacture THEN sell.
