I recently got a used DS lite for my 6 year old boy. I've never owned a DS, and I'm mostly only familiar with the more adult titles for the system. I listen to alot of gaming podcasts, and I've heard people talk about Scriblenauts, GTA Chinatown Wars, Phoenix Wright, etc, etc. Obviously, I doubt any of those games would be good choices for a six year old kid. I'm guessing that New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart would be a great place to start, but those games are pricey as fuhh...

I'm wondering if there are any kids games on the DS that are good, and that I could find used for like 10 bucks?

I have a 5 year old, and the game he likes most is Sonic Rush.

Scribblenauts is great for a young kid if they have half-way decent spelling skills. My five year old loves the game and coming up with creative ways to solve the puzzles.

Animal Crossing is good. Mario Party DS.

I found "New Super Mario Bros" for $10(cart only) and my 5 year old son loves that game. Well worth the $20 price tag(average used price). A game like that is worth 3 average games.
