I recently downloaded the Legend Of Zelda commerical from I think Kaz, anyway.
It stirred up all the bad feelings I had when I saw it on tv back then. Well not bad but Pissed off Irate would be better.
Then one Im talking about is with the 2 kids sitting on the couch with there *0's spiked hir and clothing talking about zelda. and they say we can play it now. so he pops in what is susposed to be zelda.
Only problem is it was a grey cart, Why is it not GOLD. I used to get mad and complain every time I saw the commerical and now its happening again. Any one else know what im talking about?
Maybe its because zelda is my all time fav, ( I even have the theme song set for my cell phone ring) Maybe I'm just looking into it do deep

The deal with that commercial is that the kid was a time traveller, ya see... What he did was to go to the future and buy the re-release grey zelda cart for a cheaper price, and then return to the past to show off his Mad Zelda Skillz!

I have another one at home with the group of 4 people walking through that space station looking thing where the screens come out of the walls with different games playing on them.
With the catch phase
"The Nintendo Entertainment System Now Your Playing With Power"
not quite as funny but brings back lots of memorys. I will link to that one later if i rember.

Question: Does anyone else remember the OTHER legend of zelda commercial from back then? I can hardly remember anything about it, but it had a live actor running away from the pixelated enemies, and i remember him screaming "LEEEEEEVVERRRRRSSSSS". Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? I've been looking for a place to download that commercial forever.

um... zelda was the name of the princess. why wasnt he yelling LLLIIINNNKKK!!! but i suppose people would be going to stores asking for the legend of link. i can just imagine zelda coming in and attacking with a sword.

Does anyone remember the commericial they had for Link's Awakening when it first came out? That too was some kind of cheezy rap thing. I remember they had footage from the game playing on a wall or something and the guy out in front of it trying to be a thug and rap about Zelda at the same time. Now that I think of it, that might have been right at the beginning of Nintendo's "look at us, we're edgy and cool if you're in the fifth grade!" Play it Loud campaign.

Play It Loud....I still cringe whenever I hear that...anyway...did anyone notice the wierd buttons on the NES in the Zelda commercial? Is that some sort of prototype NES or did the first units have black power and rest buttons?
