SMS controller port inop

I have a Sega Master System and controller port #1 is not working correctly. Button 2 works but that about all. Tried to reflow solder connections to board but didn't help. Nothing looks burnt on board, anything common that goes bad with these?

Have you tried multiple controllers? Maybe it's just the controller you're using.

We have 3 controllers, same problem.

I have a Master System in my garage like this, and although I never fixed it, the best method to fix it that was recommended to me was to check the solder points of each controller port to the motherboard, they apparently break easily.

Update: checked continuity from controller port 1 to circuit board, good to board. Followed traces on board to next chip, no continuity on 3 traces, solder in 3 jumpers, all working now.
