Not sure if this was supposed to be in the imports section as this game has an American counterpart, but it is originally Japanese. It's a rhythm game made by Konami, whom Harmonix of Guitar Hero fame pays licensing fees to for using a musical instrument gaming peripheral. This in addition to the style of game where you match keypresses to music. Anyway it came out for ps2 over a decade ago(in Japan), and the one version the USA received came out in 2006 just titled Beatmania. I thought I'd share the game with anyone who hadn't heard of it before, uber replay value and difficulty... which I guess makes it more rewarding to become proficient at.

Nice vids. Big IIDX fan here but I'm really bad. I just got Empress but can't play because my uskoc broke. Going to get an ASC soon though.

nice, i dont think you can see in my videos, but under the tv theres 2 beatmania US boxes and a keyboardmania box, the USKOCs turntables both started misfiring.
i ended up getting a JPKOC brand new, modded the turntable and increased the sensitivity of the keys... so far its been working perfect for half a year now.
id love an ASC but rent and bills are a bitch at the moment, either way love the series to death, theres so many good bemani games(would kill for a pop'n music ASC).

Sweet, i didn't even see the Keyboardmania. I've been wanting to get it for a while but I hear its even harder than IIDX.
If you're looking for a Pop'n ASC, I've got a Desktop Arcade one with lights & new cherry microswitches that I'm going to be selling soon (just need to find a shipping box first).

wow really, what are the chances haha
let me know, at the moment im trying to get some bills paid but i am definitely interested as ive been looking everywhere for a reasonably priced pop'n controller that isn't a minicon.
im not looking for a steal, its just that i have to make many monthly payments while going to school so i only get so much to spend at once
