In case you missed my post here:

I'd like to know a little more about this item than the DP guide reveals. Anyone up to the challenge? Here's the pic again:

Is that on a CV cart PCB? Since there's no description and I don't have a DP guide I'll just make an educated guess and say it's the Coleco Graphics design cart. I've downloaded the ROM of it. ADAM's House sells it in cart form. It was for the ADAM. It's basically unusable without the additional software for it on tape/disk and the manual AFAIK.

if i have to guess i would say it is homemade, and even further i would say its homemade by someone at adams house. i have never seen that style circuit board form anything that came from coleco, proto or not...
i have seen that board style from late 90's homebrew and adams house carts.
zaxxon asked if its on a CV PCB.... no way.

Well it may be a CV cart PCB but not a Coleco made PCB which were green with copper traces.

well i thought that was a given that it was a circuit board designed for coleco games

So the question remains: what the hell does it do and what is "Project Name By Line"

dont know, never used it. i think it has no use without the proper hardware, so its basically just a cool paperweight... it apparently is a programming tool to alter screen captures or to write games or something... since maybe only one person actually has a working one with the hardware we might not know for a while, if ever

GRAPHICS DESIGN CARTRIDGE - Coleco's in house graphic design program to create Sprites and Graphics used in Coleco Game Cartridges. The program utilizes a disk drive save function to save graphic creations. Very little documentation has been available, and none is available with this cartridge. For ADAM. May be able to capture sprites from existing CV games.

Found this online from someone who it sounds like used to work at Coleco:
"In Coleco's unreleased Graphics Processor cartridge
(used to create, capture and/or edit high-resolution graphics
screens), there is a configuration menu for a prototyped but
never released serial/parallel interface board (setting
baud rates, parity, stop, flow control). Neatest of all is
the SmartKey which is labelled VAX..."
