I have a SMARTBOY Robocop in pretty good condition.

Any ideas?

I can tell by the name, it's probably a pirate.

Pictures?

Read this auction for a better description of what's going on with them.

Yes, I did read that. Arkonoid has 2 copies in existence... In his post, there is no mention on a robocop existing. Also a tetris was sold a while ago for 280$ or so

I'd personally throw it up for like 500 BIN with very detailed pics and description and play the waiting game.

How many of these Smart Boy carts do you have?

I consider them to be pirates, they're even listed on Gamesniped in the pirates section. The company made their own copies of games so rental stores wouldn't have to pay as much for legitimate copies, I don't see them getting permission to do that. I really don't understand why they sold for so much on ebay, I don't think they'll keep their value in the long run.

Supposedly there's an article about them on Nintendo Age, but I can't find it where the link points to. I don't know if you have to be registered or not to see it.

I can't understand how they're not pirates.

They seem to be pirates with a history, but still pirates.
