So, Sorry if this has actually been brought up before, but how cool is the new Black Nintendo Wii? I tried to search for a thread about it, but apparently "Wii" is to few letters to be searched. I just saw this on Amazon and it looks really cool!

Anyone have one yet?

They're only in Japan right now, and Europe I think is just getting them.

Not available over here in the US I think. Maybe the controller is.

Black Wii remotes and nunchucks hit stores today.

I've seen them at the stores. They look ok I guess. I already have a white one though so it wouldn't be worth it to switch.

It looks good, wish it had been a option when I purchased the system.

But at least I'm guaranteed for all my accessories to match the color of my console. It's one reason I've stayed away from the 360 Elite, although MS seems to have done a decent job offering accessories that match the color.

I wish Apple would release black accessories for their iPods. Black iPod Classic, iPod Touch, and the iPhone all come in black. All headphones, docks and accessories are all in white. Now I could see not making accessories of every color under the sun for the Nano, but come on, almost all your full size product line is in black!~

I'd like to find out what Nintendo is going to do for those that are switching out their white machines to get the black and want to transfer their Wii Ware/Virtual Console titles.

Who would spend $200 to switch colors?

You never know until you try it. Hell, I may never even go back to my white Nintendo Wii after I use the black one.

Absolutely nothing as there isn't any reason to put in place any such program.

The only way your DLC can be transferred is if a Nintendo authorized repair requires replacement of certain internal components that make it appear that your licenses aren't associated with that console, or if you're sent a different replacement console to speed returning it to you.

If people would drop cash to buy a different DS because of color (and I know people who have), what's $40-$60 more? The situation will crop up. Not saying that it'll be a mass exodus of people changing over to black but it will happen.

I always thought Nintendo did the color changes on purpose.

Beginning with the GB Play it Loud Series.

Purple GBA to Better GBA's [SP] in black.
Phat DS to DS Lite in better colors.
Purple Gamecube to Black and Platinum.

Seems like Nintendo learned its lesson in making money. Make the original system as hideous as possible; people will buy. Make the sleek version later; people will buy again!

The black GameCube was available at launch.

Once you go black you never go back.

I have shamed that line though. I had a black PSP, but now I use my green one all the time.
