Hey cool, I didn't know you were into NES stuff. I haven't spent much time with the NES version, but I understand it's a good converstion.

Is it pretty much the same as the SNES version?

Very cool. Both DreamTR and myself own an NTSC copy of this game as well.

*Edit: I forgot to mention that my chips have the same date and handwriting as those pictured here.

Yup, same writing and date:

Now you don't have to be worried about people selling copies of the data :)

I just purchased a blank TKEPROM-02 board as well (it was a Trolls in crazyland proto, but someone had long removed those chips), so I'll have my chips populated on a board soon enough.

Very cool that there are at least 3 of these out there, I hadn't seen this one before. How long have you had it? Got any other cool NES stuff kicking around ;)

Nope, the NES version is a kinda-sorta combination of Turrican and Turrican 2, and the SNES version is kinda-sorta Turrican 3. It's a bit complicated.

Isn't Super Turrican one of the few/only NES games to automatically detect if it should run in NTSC or PAL?
Obviously, a proto would be an amazing conversation piece. :)

Nope. I've tried to play my Super Turrican PAL on my top loader a few times, it runs so fast that it makes me want to puke. This one definitely runs at a different rate than the PAL version.
