Allright so I bought a Sega Gen mdl. 1 and a Sega CD mdl 1. on Ebay a month or so back. No cables whatsoever, just the systems. I just received the second power adaptor I needed. On testing the sytems, the Gen worked (which I allready knew) but the CD didn't even light up. I cleaned the contacts and still no good. Finally, I opened up the system and used my multimeter on the F1 fuse. Yep, it's blown. So my question(s) is/are this/these: how easy is it to find a replacement? How easy is it to fix? I don't even have a soldering iron, let alone any experience. I could probably borrow one, but with no experience, could I do it? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks 8-).

The easiest solution would be to add an in-line fuse holder for 5x20mm size fuses. That way if it blows again, all you have to do is swap the blown fuse with a new one. Both the holder and the fuses are available at Radio Shack. I have done this a few times in the past and have never had any issues.

allright, sounds good, but I can't tell what kind of fuse I need. Would you happen to know the specs?

I used these...

I'm sure you could find them both cheaper online but I wanted to fix it as soon as possible so I just went and picked them up at Radio Shack.
