Picked up a SEGA Pico lot today. I got it all for $20. The lot included: Pocahontas River Adventure, Sesame Street Alphabet Adventure, Crayola, Magic Crayons, 101 Dalmations Math Antics, Magic School Bus, and Sonic GameWorld. It also came with a pen, which I was most happy about because it worked, mine didn't. I also was interested because it came with Sonic GameWorld, which I've been wanting to play.

I'm more or less wondering if I got an okay deal. As I mentioned, I feel fine with it because of the Pen and the Sonic game. I believe a few games had some trouble working, and many would freeze when I touched the book part. I'm going to eventually clean them off myself.

Edit: I probably should point out everything was loose.

$20 bucks for a system with everything you need to play and a stack of games? You can't go wrong with that. Nice deal. The Pico really is a more enjoyable system than people give it credit for and every small child I've ever seen spend time with it has genuinely had a good time. The market is still there and I still put the old Pico above the recent VTech gaming entries (although those have gotten much better than they used to be once the V.Smile was introduced). I was hoping the Beena (Pico successor) would have appeared stateside but I'm not surprised it didn't.

I have a Japanese Pico (I like the build style better) and a bunch of software and accessories including the Japanese keyboard and fishing controller. Picked up most of it as a single lot as well, that fishing game is pretty entertaining. I picked up quite a few USA releases since, all works together. Cool (and cheap) little system to collect for.

Cleaning the contacts on the cartridges and cartridge slot with a little isopropyl alcohol will resolve the hiccups.

I guess my topic title got cut-off or something. I only purchased a lot of games, I had a console earlier.

Still not bad, you also got a replacement pen to fix your system.
