Please give your opinions, participate, pass on this video topic to others. To all my subscribers and anyone else feel free to participate. Would LOVE VIDEO RESPONSES but at the very least leave a comment. the question is: If you could only have one console or system or computer or handheld, one to collect for and/or play on from now until the end of days WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
The only rule is none of the current generation systems/computers/handhelds or consoles.
So I am EXCLUDING NDSi/PSP/PSPgo/Wii/360/PS3/Modern PC/ModernMAC, all modern and current systems! ANYTHING ELSE PRIOR TO THOSE IS APPLICABLE. I don't care if you choose PS2, Gameboy, Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, 3D0, Dreamcast, or friggin Bandai Pippin lol! Give me your choice, your opinion of the one system of choice and please give details as to WHY you make that choice, please back up your choice with reason and details! THANKS IN ADVANCE to all who participate in anyway!

Hey, I lived in Kelowna for a spell...

My choice is easy; a PS2. The library is absolutely HUGE and filled with awesome games including quite a lot of SNES and PC Engine ports/sequels (especially if it's a Japanese PS2, which would be my choice).

Of course, if you allow modded systems; a modded X-Box.

I'm going to go with the system in my user picture.

Great platformers, great RPGs, and quite a lot of other very good games. In my opinion, the best system of all time.

Also, didn't we have a thread like this like a month ago? EDIT: No, we didn't. That was GET RID OF one console -- my bad.

Easy - PS2

It gets its entire library of great games, plus the great PS1 games, plus some of the best Squaresoft ports. I mean, come on, you can play FF 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, X, X-2, XI, and XII, AND Chrono Trigger & Chrono Cross.

Throw in some burnout, crash bandicoot, Katamari Damacy, and Disgaea and I'd be happy for all eternity.

Man... quite hard. I think I'd have to go with the PS2 as well... especially if it can play Japanese games. Between SEGA Ages, almost every Final Fantasy ever, Disgaea, decent fighting game ports... it really does have it all.

But if PS2 is too new, then it'd have to be a Genesis. Landstalker + Phantasy Star IV = all you need :D

I would have to go with a PC Engine. That came to mind without even thinking.

Well PS2 was my choice also, the only limit I set was the most recent/current gen systems not allowed otherwise anything goes, backward compatibility, modded, using multicarts is all acceptable. If your choice can use it then it's fair game.............

SNES. It's the system that got me back into gaming after having no systems at all for a few years, and I have nostalgia for it since it was there through my pre-teen/teenage years. I'd have to sacrifice many of my top favorite games, but with Super Mario All-Stars, Castlevania IV, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Star Ocean, Pop'n TwinBee, the DKC trilogy, Kirby Super Star, Wonder Project J, Marvelous, and so very many more, I don't think I'd have much to complain about. I already have tons more great titles I've yet to invest serious time into, with plenty more left to acquire as well, and with the Super Famicom library, there's enough to keep me collecting and playing for a lifetime. Plus, with the Super Game Boy, I could cheat and have access to all original Game Boy games and black cart GBC games. :P

ps1 the mother of modern gaming with the best from old school.

So much rpg (final fantasy became legend at this point), gran turismo show us the way for future racing game. Tekken took the best from all fighting game and slowly move it in 3d (with doa). I think that overall the console gave a felling of 16bits and took us to the next level without nostalgia.
but now when were playing it ....nostalgia is coming back
