Agreed. It's a pirated game. Shouldn't hold any value at all, like my multicarts.

I thought buying/selling pirated stuff was forbidden on this forum anyways?
The game is not rare, as I'm sure there are lots of legit copies of Arkanoid out there. No, what is rare is that a few copies of some South American pirated game made their way to the US, and now people are hyping this up as if these things are some holy grail of collecting. I'm sorry, but NES pirates are incredibly common and the practice of collecting them rather silly. Especially at the prices these things are going.

Don't be coy. What you have is a pirate and your OMG RARESTEST GAME EVER line is just to provoke simpletons into a frenzy.
While few copies of the game are known, they are truly no different than the common ass game on the cart. It's like paying $400 for a Supervision 1942 cart. Only an idiot would pay that much for something so menial.
So to answer your harebrained question, any game that is higher in rarity than Arkanoid is rarer than this, so that's at least 2/3 of the NES library.

I really think you ppl are just threadcrapping for the sake of threadcraping, as i dont even have Arkanoid and yet half the ppl here think i do. therefore u havent done any reading, just talking outta the ass :)

I have a few more that are equally rare, I just didn't feel like digging them out. Yeah, they're all one of a kind and rarer than your shitty pirate cart.
You're not the only one that can be a smart-ass LOL.
You're selling a pirate that happens to be marginally more desirable than other pirates at the moment. It's not one of a kind, and is not really anything out of the ordinary. You'll make some money if you list it as an open auction, but don't try and claim it to be something that it's not.

Nah. Although quite indeed rare, there are others that are rarer, like those which only one copy exist.
I consider these the rarest of rare.

The auction was canceled. What game is on the cart you have is irrelevant anyway. It's a kind of cart that a few people on NA.com go apeshit for. The games on them are all dirt common.
It's due threadcrapping because you are talking out of your ass. You come in like it's mana from heaven and what'd you expect? Don't name your thread "ONE OF THE RAREST GAMES IN EXISTENCE" and think we're going to bow down to your logic backed solely by your desire to sell the game. We're going to challenge it and 'show me something rarer' is not a good defense because, as BeaglePuss mentioned, just about every prototype is more rare and more interesting.

well two things
1. the ebay ad isnt down. its still up. You are thinking about limbofunks ebay ad.
2. I said it is one of the rarest NES games. Didnt say it was the rarest game.
With 2 known to exist, that makes it technically rarer than NWC.
If i had said "the rarest" then yes go nuts. But to me anyway, any NES game rarer than NWC is an extremly rare game.

Well, obviously then you would like to purchase all our 'rare' carts. I think $100 each would be an awesome deal, since they're worth ~$400 right? I've got a GB 'rare' cart that I will gladly let you have for $50 to get things rolling. It says 32-in-1 so you could ask for ~$3000 BIN right?
Also, we can hook you up with NWC ultra 'rare' blue carts for $1000 each and the holiest of grails, the NCC blue for $1500 each! We can send you a bunch too, we're awesome like that. :D

You said 'show me something rarer', as in we wouldn't be able to. How the hell is that not "rarest".
It's all semantics anyway. We all here know this overpriced and are not stupid enough to give you insane money for a pirate. Your thread was made with a claim that got called out instantly and your defense is basically 'durrrr it is rare durrrr'.

I <3 Portnoyd.
Sorry man, it's just a shitty pirate that most people don't care about. Like Port said, the only people who seem to "collect" these pirates are part of the NA crowd (not all of us over there, mind you), so you may have more luck selling you're knock off over there.
You asked someone to show you a rarer NES game, my brother just showed you 5 ONE OF A KIND unreleased NES games (Dream does have a different build of the licensed Tengen Tetris, but it's not exactly the same) in one picture alone. If you weren't looking for games that were totally unreleased for the NES, but just prototypes, we could show you another 50, most of which would be rarer than "2 of a kind" like your Smart Boy cart.
It's a garbage pirate that only an idiot would find collectible, but you just may find one willing to spend the money if you look hard enough.

Ahhh man, this man me lol for a bit.
Bottom line man, when it comes to rarity you're really looking at licensed material and unreleased prototypes that are found from companies who were official game makers back when this stuff was relevant. With pirated stuff, there's just not that much value attributed to it. Anyone can sit around and make a reproduction cart, or a pirate cart with the right materials and a general knowledge of soldering.
If I sat around all day and took a copy of tetris and made my own custom NES carts out of it, it doesn't make it more rare than the NWC Gold or Gray cart. It just doesn't make sense. I think everyone kinda pounced on you here, but this cartridge is just not a collector's item.

The text is all hand written in blue ink, the cat appears to have been made with a rubber stamp or something similar.

You all should lay off this guy. If YOU found this game and then looked online and saw there were only 1 copy ever found before, you'd be fuckin jumping for joy too... And lol at people with PROTOs claiming its rare. DUH, any UNRELEASED Game is going to be rare. But this game he's selling, ALTHOUGH A PIRATE, was actually released to the public for sale.
You know, in this day and age of a horrible economy, I've changed my mind about pirating. These god damned huge companies that make video games, most of them have made a killing off of us for years by pushing over priced software and unneeded new systems down our throat. So I don't give a damn about pirating any more. There are more important things in life to worry about.

If I found a shitty pirate game I would not be jumping for joy or claiming it to be anything but a crappy pirate.
The reason the prototypes were brought up was due to him asking for a rarer game. He asked, and received.
No one is debating the ethics behind pirate carts, more the rarity of the item that is listed for sale. If he list the cart at open auction he will make good money for it. There is a market for such carts, don't ask me why. But to come on here and claim it to be one of the rarest NES in existence is just foolish.
If I found a shitty pirate game I would not be jumping for joy or claiming it to be anything but a crappy pirate.
There are many crappy pirates in existence, but there are also many crappy prototypes as well...if the proto is byte by byte identical to the released game, or 98% the same, then I really have no interest in the proto...collectors will collect anything, but pirates of crappy games and protos identical to their released counterparts both do not interest me terribly much...it is nice to have a few for novelty sake, but beyond that, meh.
However, I have seen kick ass pirates before, containing new games and ports and all kinds of crazy shit. Also pirates of the Mario lost levels, stuff like that, are cool to me...just like protos of unreleased games or protos with mega changes.
If I found a shitty pirate game, I probably would be jumping for joy...I mean, find any of this shit on the cheap in the wild, and I'm not complaining.
