Well, I recently got the X-Men vs Street Fighter 4RAM Pack, but I believe the RAM is busted. I insert the RAM cart, then the game disc, but I just get to a screen where I think (it's in japanese) it says '4MB RAM required', then it takes me to Saturn's CD player menu, where I can listen to the games' soundtrack, but not play.

So, guess I'll need to get another game that comes with the 4MB RAM cart, if mine is busted at all.

Which games came with the 4MB RAM cart? I only know of D&D Collection and X-Men vs SF.

Getting another copy of X-Men vs. SF or Vampire Saviour is your cheapest option.

I might be able to get one of them for you if you want.

Are you sure it's the RAM and not the cart slot on your Saturn? That thing has a tendency to break.

From what I've seen, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter and Vampire Savior are the two on average cheapest games that come with the expansion. XvsSF should be cheap but typically is not.

i think all games that required the 4MB RAM to play, were released in two versions. with and without the cart.

Hmm, it might actually be. Tried the Action Replay 4-in-1 aswell, got the same message and the same thing happened.

My initial thought was "no, it works fine", because I used the official Sega Backup Cart... but that was on my US Saturn :bawling:

Oh, well. Guess I'll find a way to survive without the 4MB-required-games.

I'm aware of that list, thanks. Doesn't say which ones comes with the RAM cart, though, but like Red Earth said, maybe they all came in two versions, one without the cart, and one with.

Most of these games did come in 2 versions (with and without the cart), but with the cart is much more common.

Are you sure it's the RAM and not the cart slot on your Saturn? That thing has a tendency to break. This is more likely. The slot doesn't break, but it does wear out. You might have to play with the cart and insert it *just right* in order for it to recognize. This is THE most common Saturn issue.

Didn't Tokimeki Memorial come with a RAM cart?
