Very cool.
Do you mind telling us more about it? Where it came from, how you came about it, it's cost, and if you have any plans on selling it?
I know that this game is famous for undergoing a total overhaul before it was released, so do you mind telling us how far along it is?
Thanks for sharing a cool find!

What are the differences from the proto that you have and the released game?

Yes - please let us know if there are any differences. There was a Proto released a few years back that seems more like a debug version but originally the game had Super Mario 3-like powerups. Still trying to find a video/screenshot with that information though.

There's two others that exists, I have at least one of them. I could have sworn the one that was "too much like Mario 3" was already dumped...

There are a total of four by my count. . .
I too remember the "Mario 3" version being dumped, although I could be wrong.

i got it from a 2nd hand store about a year ago. they had NO IDEA what the hell kind of artifact they were sitting on. i havent gotten around to see if there are any major differences between the proto and the final copy but i will check it out this week and take pictures for everybody. for those who are asking to buy it, i would be willing to part with it for the right price.
OR if you are openminded to trading i am looking for the gray nintendo 1990 world championship. now i KNOW that the mc kids proto isnt worth as much as the nwc but i would be willing to pay the difference. im really not looking for anything else so please dont offer.

Very cool. Did you know immediately that the game was a prototype, or did you just buy it on a whim?
Keep in mind too that Great NWC carts sell for around $5,000 while prototypes like yours rarely sell for over $200. That's some discrepancy.

I don't recall this. I remember RedEye (?) dumped the MC Kids that was a debug version of some sort (walk through walls etc.) a few years back. Anyone know where I can find the Mario 3 version (powerups etc.)?

I have a prototype box for Mc Kids. If anyone is interested, send me a PM because it looks like this thread is not active.
