Today I went to the new PnT that opened up while I was in Wisconsin. While there I bought component cables for my Sega Genesis and found the game in my wish list.

They had one copy of Final Fantasy Chronicles GH. I purchased it for 20$ and it looks like there's only a tiny nick in the entire packaging.

My questions are not only "did I get a good deal?" but does this look like an official seal to you guys?

I thought this thing had a security seal on it...

And um, you paid GH price for this. The price on eBay hovers around... $15 for this, new. >_>;; But taking the shipping into account? $20 was a good price!

Good price for a great game collection. I do believe Kitsune is correct, back when I started at best buy all of these had the white security seal sticker across the top of the games. The sealing looks correct though. Maybe not every store received them like that.

This game is new at my PnT and has the security seal across the top. I purchased mine new when it was released and it had the security seal...I have seen GH titles without the security seal, though, and the rest of the packaging looks legit.

This is so cheap because its still in print. Every PS1 FF game except VII still is.

It's still in print? Really? I've seen sealed copies at my PnT as well.

Eh, I guess I'll open it then, I really wanted it because I want to play Chrono Trigger anyway. My Japanese cart is really hard to play since I don't know Japanese.

There is a store here that has a lot of copies and they sell for 20 new.

I find that ridiculously ironic, as that's the one that goes for the most.

But yeah, this game is pretty common.

Its because Sqare Enix doesn't own the rights to print it, Sony does, and Sony hardly ever reprints things.

If you've noticed, these are a SquareEnix GH release (when this game originally hit it was a Squaresoft game). These were made AFTER the stuff GDQ did a few years ago, when Sony stopped requiring the seal sticker on the top. They are real and official. My local Fry's still had a handful of these and FF Origins as recently as a few weeks ago. Unfortunately they really arn't worth anymore than what you paid for them, as they had big runs and arn't in demand.
