I know this is not video game related, just I wanted as many people to see this as possible.


I recently received an email from rf582rf6hp@paypal.com (could be a different user for u) a copy of the email:

Dear PayPal Customer


This e-mail is the notification of recent innovations taken by PayPal to detect inactive customers and non-functioning mailboxes.

The inactive customers are subject to restriction and removal in the next 3 months.

Please confirm your email address and credit card information by logging in to your PayPal account using the form below:




Email Address:
Password:
Full Name:
Credit Card #:
Exp.Date(mm/yyyy):
ATM PIN (For Bank Verification) #:




This notification expires September 31, 2003


Thanks for using PayPal!

It then asked you to fill out the form and hit the Log in button. I have reported this to paypal, and just wanted to make sure that anybody who receives this does not get taken by it!

we get emails like that from "ebay" & "paypal" everyday at my work. We just delete them. I really don't think ebay or paypal care if they are told about them or not. I used to forward them to them but I think it is a waste of time.

Thanks for the heads-up.

But even if I didn't have a warning or a suspicious nature, the "September 31, 2003" date would be a big red flag.

I got that mail too, and deleted it. Franjly you must be not too smart if you respond to that mail giving all that information.
