My SNES will not output any video, but it powers on and does have sound. I have checked the 3-4 switch, and tried multiple RF switches, but that doesn't solve the problem. What could this be and most of all is it an easy fix?

is your SNES the big one or the mini?
I have the same problem from my mini SNES.

It's a model 1 SNES, so not the mini.

I have the same problem on my model 1 as well. I opened mine up a few weeks ago and cleaned the inside real good and tried to clean the AV port and it worked great for a week or so, but it's back to it's old tricks. You said that you're using RF switches, have you tried an AV cable?

Actually, no... I'll find my AV cable for it and try that!

Edit: Crap... Can't find my AV cable for the SNES.

If you have the RF switch/modulator combo for the N64 and GCN; that should work on the SNES through the multi-out if there is no plastic blocking you. Those AV cables will also work on the SNES. Also, are you using Nintendo branded RF switches and are they connected directly to the TV?

Yes, I am using first party RF switches. It is actually connected through a three-way switch box. All of the other systems connected to the switch box are working fine, and I have tried all three inputs with the SNES.

Switch boxes have been known to cause problems, especially if they are automatic, even if other devices work fine. I would eliminate that as the problem by connecting the SNES directly to the TV. If that doesn't work then the next thing is to pull the signal from the multi-out.
