Hey guys,

Today I picked up used copies of Rockband Country Track Pack and Rockband Track Pack Vol. 2. The games came with box and manual.

The code on the back of each manual is invalid, as I am pretty sure it has been already used.

I have the original Rock Band, and I would love to use these codes with my existing game instead of using the add-on discs. I know this is possible using the Transfer Code Keys, but as mentioned previously, the codes are no longer valid.

How can I obtain a new code? I saw that EA is charging $10 per code (which is not worth it, as each game cost $10 to begin with). I also notice that via the PSN Store, there is something called "Rock Band Export Key". Can I use this?

If the "Export Key" on the PSN Store is what I need, can I only purchase ONE export key for both games, or must I buy one for each game? How does it work? Will it work on the add-on packs (heard that it was for Rock Band 2, though I keep reading conflicting information).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

I think you're blazing new trails on this one. I'd call the company up, myself.

The export key is most likely the item you get that lets you take most of the songs from the first Rock Band and dump them to your hard drive for use in Rock Band 2. Costs 10 bucks to do on Xbox Live, I don't know what it's like for PS3.

Far as I know, the track packs only have the codes in the manual to do that with, and all do it individually. EA is selling just those codes somewhere? Got more info on that?

(mostly unrelated: i think DP should have a thread for people to post codes like that if they intend on never using them, ie the people who do not wish to use xbox live and so on. If i ever get a code I don't plan on using, I'd make the thread, but I certainly don't want to start it without something to give away, as I'd look like a dick requesting free stuff, heh.)

You be hooped, my friend.

The Export Key is just to export RB1 songs into RB2. The only way you're going to get those tracks off of those discs is if you go online and just download them the regular way, unfortunately.

All tracks on the track packs were available online prior to being in the track packs.

Hey Jan. :)

Thanks guys for letting me know prior to spending cash on the export key. :)

Well, I contacted EA games to see if they can help me. :)

Here is another question: is each code only for that particular game? Or is it possible to use one code for both games?

It should be one code for each game.
