Like a lot of people, I'd prefer to have have a hard copy of my Xbox Live Arcade games, so I always buy those XBLA compilation discs whenever I see them on the cheap.
I'd like to get a list started of what's available. So far these are all the compilations I know of. Am I missing anything here? Left out Sonic's Mega Collection since the games on there are a little different than the XBLA versions:
Hasbro Family Game Night - Scrabble, Battleship, Connect 4, Yahtzee, Boggle, Sorry & Sorry Sliders
Konami Classics Vol. 1 - Castlevania SOTN, Frogger, Super Contra
Konami Classics Vol. 2 - Contra, Rush'N Attack, Track & Field
Namco Museum Virtual Collection - Pac-Man CE, Galaga Legions, Mr. Driller Online, Dig Dug, New Rally-X, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Xevious, Galaga
PopCap Arcade Vol. 1 - Bejeweled 2, Astro Pop, Feeding Frenzy, Zuma
PopCap Arcade Vol. 2 - Peggle, Feeding Frenzy 2, Heavy Weapon
Qubed - Rez, Lumines Live, E4
Watchmen: The End is Nigh - Part 1 & 2
Xbox Arcade Play Wireless Controller Gaming Pack disc - Geometry Wars 2, Lumines Live, Bomberman Live
Xbox Live Arcade Compilation Disc - Pac-Man C.E., Uno, Boom Boom Rocket, Luxor 2, Feeding Frenzy
Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged - Geometry Wars, Wik, Hardwood Backgammon, Outpost Kaloki X, Texas Hold 'EM

You are missing "Watchmen: The End is Nigh - Part 1 & 2" and "Xbox Live Arcade Compilation Disc" which was also made as a double pack with Sega Superstars Tennis. The latter was a pack in with 360 Arcade units, but is pretty commonly found used at Gamestop for $4.99 - It is different than Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one following these releases.

I didn't even know these two stand alone disc existed for the 360. I need to go find copies now.

Still waiting on a compilation disk with geometry wars 2 on it...

Thanks, updated the list with those two. I totally forgot about the XBLA compilation disc and I thought the Watchmen was for PS3 only.
How long do you think it'll be until Capcom makes a Street Fighter compilation disc with SFII, SFIIHD Remix, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2?

Not *quite* the same, but both Worms and Geometry Wars have both been pre-installed on 512MB memory cards.
Now my question about these discs, can the games be installed in some way to the HD, or does the disc need to be in the system to have access to those XBLA games? I know that I can't play any of the Namco Museum games (save for Pac-Man CE (and Dig Dug), which I bought at launch, so it was a dl) and that honestly kinda bugs me.
I also seem to own most of these games already, so buying the disc for 1 game (thusly making it cost more than it would on XBL) a moot point for me.

I believe this has it!

Ive seen the controller bundle in person and it says comes with games x,y,z and a downloadable token for Ms Pac Man, which leads me to assume the other 3 are on DVD.

I was ready to reply "no way" to this, but I just opened up my copy of Family Game Night. Inside there's an insert with large text saying "IMPORTANT: Users who play while not connected to Xbox Live and are experiencing problems should ensure that they launch Family Game Night from the disc and not the Game Library."
So maybe there's a way to install these games to the HD after all?
@CDiablo - thanks for pointing that out. I remember seeing these controller packs at TRU last month but assumed they were all download codes. Guess this is another disc I'll have to track down.

I thought it was download token only as well. Interesting...

The problem with these XBLA compilations is that I always have 1 or 2 of the games already...making them not much of a deal.

When you have a XBLA compilation disc, from my experience, the games appear in your game library like a downloaded XBLA release. But they disappear once the disc is removed from your hard drive. Installing doesn't help beyond with things like load times, just like a retail release (I tried it with several, including the Namco compilation, hoping no one had thought about this workaround).

You are missing GTA: Episodes from Liberty City that has Lost and Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony.
You can buy this and it does not require the GTA4 disc. I do not know if you can download them to the hard drive, as I have not tried.

You can rip them to the hard drive, but they play just like any other retail disc game...you need the disc in the 360 to play. Also, the saves for the Episodes from Liberty City disc use the exact same save file that GTA4 uses. When you go to save or load, you can save in any slot, but the existing GTA4 saves are blanked out and say "other game" or something like that.

Yeah, I bought it and found that out when I went back to gta4. It threw me off a little bit.

They also aren't even Xbox Live Arcade releases.

This is exactly what happens with OXM demo disks as well.
Funny thing is, I was going to ask the exact opposite question... do these games play entirely from the CD without relying on anything else? Like, no need for a hard drive (beyond save data), Xbox Live connection, or any nonsense with licenses tied to your machine?

I know that GTA can because I let my roommate borrow it to play and beat it before I even started playing it
If you want to count it, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection also has a bunch of games on it that were also released on XBLA

Sonic's UGC doesn't count. The games on that disc are part of a separate titleID (and hence, separate achievements) for Sonic's UGC. Also, the games released on XBLA have a few more tweaks such as Online Leaderboards.

Add one more to the mix: Just saw an ad for a Trials HD/Limbo/'Splosion Man combo pack on disc format. $30.

And online play for several of them, like Streets of Rage 2.
