Do not attempt to prostitute the moderators. You can't afford them.

Too bad you don't live in Canada, I would have done it but shipping would be way too much.

Post a picture of the board. If it's a non sony encoder, it will cost a lot more.

Why mutli threading for this. One thread per mod need?

how many more sections are you going to post this in... just curious really.... you don't think that posting it in one section would be good enough?... or waiting for the buy sell trade area to open up to you after your probation period is up... again just curious...

If your going to pay someone to do it, be prepared to pay at least $40 just for the mod work. Then you will still have to cover shipping back and forth,about $10-14 each way. I do the work, but Im not sure Id have time to do it for you right now. I still have two Model 2 decks here waiting to have work finished on them before I decide to sell them, and some Neo Cd decks I need to region mod incase I need to use them later. You could just hit ebay up off and on, they pop up on there from time to time.

A++ will visit again...

In all seriousness, this does not belong here.

On any given day, you can find a modded genesis for sale in the forums for under $60. I'm sure you could do the soldering yourself though, the model 1 genesis s-video mod is literally tapping the signal off two legs of a chip, throwing a cap on one, and amplifying the other. Just take it slow, and concentrate, and refrain from using a lot of solder, or else you may be bridge the legs.

I once tried to teach myself to do the mod, but then I saw an already modded one on E-bay so I snatched it. It looked professionally done and I am happy with it to this day. If I had performed the mode myself, I probably would have messed it up, or made caused the Genesis to look odd.

It would be MUCH easier to find someone to do the mod for you if...

1. You posted up a pic of the encoder on the board like was asked
2. You put your location in your profile so someone close to you can speak up.

He said it was a Model 1 above in first post, so Sony CXA1145. Not hard to do at all if you have basic solder and drilling skills. If it wasnt for the fact I have stuff of my own siting here waiting to be modded and sold Id be willing to do it. Sadly though right now Im working on some GI Joe stuff, so the system mods are taking a back seat to that right now, for myself, let alone anyone else, unless maybe they are paying in Cobra endorsed currency.....
