Looks like someone just gutted an NES... but then again I can't remember what the insides looked like.

I don't think that the standard NES has any socketed chips. There's definitely something different about the innards of that one.

I have one just like it it's 100% real. the bottom was machined out at nintendo and all the chips on the MoBo are socketed in one form or another

Hello All, I got two strange NES that were used on a company licensed by Nintendo to sell hardware in Brazil. Both has the bottom part opened (not a manual work), and one of them has socketed IC. The only place I found Info was here.
Does anyone remember something about this console sold on ebay? To make a comparisson with mine?

Thank you both! Now I know what I have in hands. The weird part is that one of this two consoles is not a IC Test chip motherboard. It is a normal one, but the bottom part is opened.
