I have a bit of a mystery...

I got some NES games for Christmas form my brother. They were all in plastic cartridge protectors, and I have seen them before. I knew there were clear, translucent blue and translucent pink, but out of the 10 or so case there were four that struck me as odd...

They are translucent yellow, with a silver Nintendo logo on each one. They each have Toys 'R' Us price tags on them, so this leads me to believe that they were a TRU exclusive. I have tried to find information about them in every possible place, but I find nothing.

Has anyone else seen thes before?

I'm not claiming to have something worth a million dollars, but are these rare or worth anything?

Absolutely not rare at all. I have a million and I always see these in thrift stores.

Not much but I will add that I found an NES games at the Salvation Army about a year or two ago in one of these and like yours it had a TRU price sticker on it.

The boxes were probably clear at one time, but light and or other natural elements probably caused the plastic to age....

Those would go nicely with my yellowed Super Nintendo system.

I doubt that they would all "age" so uniformly to the same color. I also think I recall seeing these in stores new BITD.

you could buy them in several colour sets of 5 or a rainbow pack of differnt colours. I have a bunch of pink ones I store my manuals in that i got back in the day.

Yeah, there's clear, blue, yellow, and red ones. Not rare or valuable at all.
