So many missing joystick tops and for some reason they keep the area around their cabinets up, exposing the monitor.

It's like going to an arcade full of games you want to play but they are all broken, plus they are games you don't really want to play and you live in North Korea. LOL

Maybe in 10 years they'll have a Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga cabinet. :p

The arcades don't matter anymore, anyways. Sad, but true. The last time I got excited about being in the arcade was the mid 90s. For someone who doesn't own any games, or has never experienced the arcades, I would feel sorry for them looking at that arcade. I miss how the arcades used to be back in the late 80s, early 90s. Good times. :)

I didn't know North Koreans had access to cameras or the internet.....let alone the freedom to document daily North Korean life and post it online. I wonder how they got a hold of those pictures? I certainly hope no one risked imprisonment in a NK prison in an attempt to increase Western awareness of the "tragedy" of NK arcades.....

....still, I enjoyed taking a couple seconds from my day to recognize Yie Ar Kung Fu still being played. I loved that game back in the day.

Someone posted this on another forum. Maybe KLOV. But I believe this arcade is for the upper crust individuals in North Korean society. The average North Korean would never see anything like this.

at least their cabinets have sanwa sticks. americans are still fucking around with that happ shit.
LOL

Anyway, some interesting cabinet art there. SEGA isn't obscured, and that doesn't look like a P-47 going down in flames - but you can clearly see the USAF roundel on the side. So it's like there's no censorship in this arcade. Extremely interesting.

Funny as heck to see Yie-Ar Kung Fu in an Astro City as well. Good game but I'm expecting it needs an adapter.
