Favourite portable?

My thoughts on portables: I use my Nomad more than any other portable so I would have to say it's my favourite. The Lynx has the best/brightest screen but so few good titles. The NGPC made a big impression on me until SNK ditched it which ticked me off. GBA has built an amazing library in such a short time. What is your favourite portable?

Tough choice... but I'd have to vote for the Turbo Express; incredibly advanced for it's time, and didn't have to buy special games for it if you already owned a TG-16.

NGP is a close second :)

I'd have to vote for 'other'. I really like the PC Engine LT. I knew I shoulda' bought one the minute they came out.

I have to go with gameboy advance, although I don't think it is the most nostalgic. I liked the nomad a lot but short battery life wasn't me, the Lynx and GG were awsome, but had few good quality games. The GBA lets me play all of my old favorties and the new ones too. so for playing aspects its my favorite. And just a few days ago I picked up Hyper Lode Runner and Battletoads, and I have had so much fun with those

I do not use portables that much, but I would say the Nomad is the best because of the games. Does anyone have a boxed one for sale?

... I'm the only one to vote on the Lynx :) Few games? Nothing more fun than playing a quick game of Paperboy, Rampage, Ms. Pacman on the run, or sitting down to a long game of Chips Challenge. Maybe it's because it has all the arcade games I used to play religiously in near-perfect arcade translations.

I also have to vote for Lynx, simply becasue I don't currently own any other portables, yet! ;) If I do get the GBA I want for the holidays, though, we'll see if that opinion changes. Love my Lynx, tho!

I just picked up the PS1 with the monitor and it is very cool. The screen could be better, but most of the games are very playable. I guess that was off the subject because it's not my fav. My fav is the GBA because there are tons of great GB, GBC and GBA games out there and it works well on a plane with those overhead lights.

I chose other as well. My favorite would have to be the Game Axe, pretty sure Top Guy would be up there too if I actually found one. Definatly not as bad as some people claim it to be.

I won't vote because I only own a GBA and a Game Gear, but I think I would vote Game Gear.

gotta go with the lynx! crystal mines II is one of the best portable games ever, in my opinion (check out my review at www.gamefaqs.com , by the way), and 4-player battlewheels- tasty! especially in "doom" mode! :wink:
