Anyone else's pets climb/sleep on their cabinets? I just recently purchased a kitty condo and moved around my cabinet, and this was the result:

I don't mind right now, considering that the cabinet needs to be restored due to flood damage. I was curious if anyone else had this problem and had a possible solution for when I finally restore it.

Awwwww....
But if you really don't want them up there try keeping something ontop of the cabinet to make it a less desirable sleeping spot. The cats won't want to jump up there if there's anything in the way. And... yeah don't keep it right next to the kitty condo.

I iz on ur arcade cabinet, beating ur high scores. LOL
I've seen these ceramic discs that people put on chairs to keep their cats off of them, but since the control panel is slanted, I don't know how that would work.

Seems we share a similar problem.

Actually, I've put a canvas bag on the panel and it was pulled down and used as a make-shift litter box. I can't use anything even remotely related to blankets or paper because of the same issue. It doesn't help that I have 6 cats: 2 of the males have problems urinating and end up using everything but the litter box and the 3rd male is destructive. Fortunately, he's the one sleeping on the control panel and not the others. The female cats don't cause problems.
I'm thinking of fashioning a sliding door over the control panel, but I don't want to modify the cabinet.
Also, this problem isn't just related to the arcade cabinet - the female cat sleeping on the kitty condo love disc trays and will hunt them down whenever I open/close them. She also gets in front of the TV on top of the TV stand and even climbs on my LCD TV sometimes. I could probably get a video of the disc tray hunting, as my cats tend to be really photogenic at times.
Lastly, the condo is just there for now. I need to move the tree out first :) 1/3 of my collection is behind the tree, in case anyone was wondering what that was.

Mine do...as long as they dont "do" they claws on the wood you are OK
Keep it clean by removing the cat's hair and that's it

None of them claw anything but carpet and furniture at this point, so I'm okay in that aspect. I guess I'll just feather dust it often and that'll work.

I have three cats, and only one ever gets up there.
However, she *loves* my control panel. She'll often be "right player" while I'm playing, and frequently uses the buttons on that side as a sleeping spot.

Pretty cute, eh?
It's not caused me any problems yet, either, so I just kind of let her.

My cats bed is my Galaga cocktail. He's too lazy to climb up on top of the uprights.
I don't have a problem with it, unless he decides he wants to take a nap in the middle of a game.
And yes, my cat is one of those cats who tries to bat at all the stuff on the screen. Makes me wish I had a pinball machine.
