My first "actual" What's it worth thread.

I saw this at a thrift store, but didn't buy it. Wondering if I should?
It was a black Sega Sports branded hockey-style jersey size XL
Looked in decent shape, but don't know anything about it.
Is this some sort of game promo? Did an actual sports team wear this?
Would it be worth anything?
There was no player name or number on it or anything, but there was a patch at the bottom with the Jersey company's name on it. (Started with a "J" I think?)

I would never wear it, so it would just be an interesting Sega item to have. If, in fact it is.

I've seen a Soccer Jersey with SEGA on it before as well, not sure how commonplace these types of things are though.

I say go and buy it.

If it's good quality and under ten bucks, I would say buy it. Especially if it's made by a brand name company. I could see a lot of Sega fanboys wanting it. You may want to check if there are any completed item listings on ebay, though, to see what it might go for.

Also, you're Canadian. Aren't you obligated to wear Hockey jerseys x number of days out of the year?

Well, I went back today, and it was still there, so I grabbed it.
Made by Venus USA, and I think it's a football jersey actually
(kinda clueless about sports)

Sega Sports is actually the brand name for Sega's sports games on Genesis up to Gamecube.

How much did it cost?

Was priced at $8, but today its tag color was half price! So $4! Bonus! Worth it for that :D

Cool item! It's definitely a football jersey and if you choose to sell it, you should get a very nice price.
