I went by barnesnnoble yesterday and picked up the "videogames hardware handbook" that RetroGamer published (from the UK)...Anyway, its 256 pgs and covers consoles and handhelds from 1977 to 1999. its a very interesting read. its not necessarily something thats gonna give you the values of your games and systems like the DP guide, but its neat otherwise. The guide has tons of full color photos of systems as well as subjective lists of top ten games and stories about each system such as how they originiated and things like that.

Anyway, for $20 its a nice purchase. Have any of you guys seen this guide yet? if so what did you think?

I've got this too and I quite like it. Although I am a fan of their "bookazines" seeing as I don't buy the magazine regularly.

As far as a i know the articles in the book are simply a collection of articles from previous retro gamer magazines, so regular buyers may want to avoid.
