Hi,

My copy of Renegade for the NES doesn't work. :(

The contacts are clean, and when I put it in the console I just get the title screen flashing on and off....I've tried it in another NES, all other games work OK, any ideas or should I give up on it?

:/ strange. Nes games are the most long lasting durable games in my opionion. Dunno, couldnt have cost much.

Never give up!

This might seem like a stupid question, but is this a new pin connector in the NES that you tried it on? It might not seem like it matters, but I had this happen to me before and when I got a new pin connector the games (2 of them) that I could not get working worked!

I would open up the cartridge itself and check the soldering on each pin of the chips mounted to the circuit board, along with the trace work, but that's rather involved.

How have you cleaned the contacts?

Tonight I was playing various SNES games...they all turned on fine except one..NBA Hang Time
I remember this thread and said.."Oh No"
I cleaned the contacts with a SNES cleaning kit..that sucker still didn't work..I thought the cart was dead..
I went and got my trusty old green Scotch Brite and cleaned the contacts real well..,now it works..

I use Scotch Brite(dry) to clean the contacts on my NES carts and they always work..all of them..

The only dead carts I have are a Atari 2600 Ms Pac Man...It's dead and I have no clue why..and a Vic 20 Pirates Cove..

I can't get the Vic 20's Pirates Cove to turn on no matter what..
