Door Door is a lot of fun.
I recommend Holy Diver if you like being angry and frustrated.

Go get Asmik Land, as long as you can deal with annoying boss battles. Don't get me wrong, I like rock-paper-scissors, I just don't think it needs to finish off every level.

Magical Taru Ruto Kun: Fantastic World is a great platformer. The sequel isn't so great though, probably best avoided.

I got a Magical Taru Ruto Kun for the Mega Drive. No idea if it's the same as the Famicom game or if the MD one is the sequel, but I enjoyed it anyhow.
Is the first boss in the Famicom game a guy who shoots footballs (soccerballs ;)) at you?
And yeah, I've got a FDS aswell. Got Super Lode Runner, Kid Icarus, Moero Twinbee, Metroid and Doki Doki Panic for it.
Thanks for the recs, guys! Will look into each and every one of them.

I'm pretty sure the Mega Drive game is dfferent, although I haven't played it myself. Don't remember any footballs though.
