I'm just thinking... if Dr. Light had invested all of his resources into the production of tactical nuclear devices, or the creation of a computer virus which would shut down all of the robot masters, or even the development of a large number of weapons for Mega Man which would have actually helped him defeat Wily's minions before he even left Dr. Light's laboratory, none of these battles would have been necessary. He's apparently a genius, and yet both he and Dr. Wily refuse to think outside of the "build robots to fight other robots" box.
