Hi, Mates !
I am planning on purchasing a PlayStation Debugging Station, preferably a blue one but i wouldn't care if i can get a Green Debugging unit or a Net Yaroze.
I have seen a few on eBay but only expensive BINs ...
How much should be good to spend ?. I only need the working system :D
Thank you very much :bigmac:

Quick question, why are you planning on buying? Are you developing games? or do you want a multi-region unit to play games on? They seem really expensive just to "have".

It's funny that you're posting about this, I was thinking about asking the same thing as someone on my local craigslist is trying to sell some for $250 each and I didn't know if that was a good deal or not.

I am not really interested in PlayStation development, there a much better options today to spend my time on; i just want to add it to my console collection and play with it :embarrassed:
This reason may be stupid but I think that this blue/green/black will look great in my living room. I really don't need the multi-region feature because i have a Japanese PS1 and an American modded Ps1
I am not very sure of the price but last year a DP member RASK1904 tried to sell one for $150 ... If the current value is double or triple that figure i prefer to spend the money on other stuff :band:

What does the system include ?
Checking past auctions, I figured that a loose console / cables cost around 120 to 180 and boxed ones are 200 to 400 :P

I'd skip on buying a Yaroze for your 'proto/beta' needs. If you don't have the memory card they came with, they just don't work. At all. Boxed ones of the US variety are not easy to come by and i'd suspect a $300+ fee to make it yours. UK ones are much easier to come across, but then those are displaying in PAL and that just won't work right for most home setups.
Debugger prices were in the shitter for quite a while after the Acclaim auctions as the market had just flooded. I'd say now that the Blues (which are by far the much more common ones) would run you about 75-100 and greens up to 150. I could be a bit on the low side, but maybe by 25 bucks or so.

They're not boxed, the guy actually has 3 different ones available. I think they're priced too high though.

For sale are two Playstation 1 development units, $250 each.
The first unit up for sale is a Playstation 1 development unit DTL-H1000. This is the original issue of the development unit, has hardware S-Video and the highest quality audio found on a PS1. Contains double the memory and will boot any software from any region, original or otherwise. It is bright blue.
The second unit is a Playstation 1 Net-Yaroze. This was the hobbiest dev kit. Includes the much required Net-Yaroze dongle in the memory card slot. Will boot any region, but unlike the DTL-H1000 it must be an original disc.
Both units are in excellent physical condition, no documentation of dev software is required, but both of these can be found on line. Neither unit is modified in any way shape or form. Asking $250 each.
(Also available is a later model european spec dev unit, bright green $150)

I certainly wouldn't pay $250 for a blue debugger, but $150 for a green test console (mint) isn't out of the question.
Boxed ones are certainly a lot more...I've been looking for a boxed debugger/test myself...there's someone on DP with a complete blue debugger, but they want like $500 for it, so it's been up for sale for a year or two now lol

I'd expect around $100 for a blue and $150 for a green like others have said. Myself I've been lucky, as I've gotten 2 blues for $60 total and a PS2 debug for $40
