I remember a couple of years ago there was this gameplay clip posted from this JRPG that suddenly got everyone all excited for the PS3. All I can say about it for sure was that it got a blurb in a Penny Arcade strip.

I know it wasn't Blue Dragon, but there was definitely a dragon in it toward the end, briefly. I want to say it was called White Dragon or White Knight or something else horribly generic. Is this ringing any bells?

White Knight Chronicles? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OubNHZ7Nmdg)

Looks pretty good, but I'm not rubbing my nipples about it.

Penny Arcade did some orgasming over White Knight Chronicles a couple years ago. It came out like a year ago in Japan and got below-average reviews. It's finally coming out in North America early this year.

Penny Arcade tends to overreact to a lot of games, I think.

EDIT: Make that over three years ago that Penny Arcade talked about it.

Ooh, sequenced attacks like Legend of Dragoon!

I watched a different video that showed a gameplay sequence and it looks interesting.

I was thinking of that "3D block" 8-bit looking game. Wasn't that PS3?

It is. And it's either most blatant rip off of Zelda (seriously watch the videos) in the history of gaming, or the developers are simply paying homage to the series.

I like From Software but I lost interested in 3d Dot Game Heroes. Extremely hyped up for really no reason other than nostalgia. The graphics with their three frames of movement in a 3d game that should have many more just looks ugly.

I've been sort of interested in White Knight Chronicles, but since it looks to play similarly to FF12 with the way the ATB is and the other characters moving themselves, that's one thing that's a slight turn off to me.

I'll wait until it drops price until I pick it up.
