I was wondering if it possible to merge two tags with the same name. I have a tag on a friend's xbox with all my saves and they currently can't log it into it and make it a live account due to lack of internet atm. I just got an xbox of my own and want to go online tonight, I don't mind if I loose the data on the account I make tonight, I really just want to rescue a save I have on my original account and get to have all sorts of fun tonight.

I'm thinking the only way might be to make a random account and use a free live trial just for tonight, and then when I get a hard copy of my old tag just make it a live account...

Please share opinions / knowlage!

You can't merge accounts. However, what you can do is "recover" your old gamertag on your new Xbox. If you were ever online with that old gamertag, the Microsoft servers will recognize the account. You can then associate that gamertag with the new xbox. It's a pretty simple process.

The saves are stuck on your friends xbox unless you get a memory card and dump the saved games on there and manually load them onto your new 360/hard drive. Saves are stored locally, not on MS servers (if that's what you're wondering).

Well that is the problem. I was never online with it x.x and I will get the hard copy of my gamer tag on a memory card on tuesday but today is saterday and I wana play online noooow lol
Also I heard you couldn't put saves from another tag onto your current tag. so I guess I will have 2 accounts >.> one for sillyness and one for hardcore madness... or whatever xD
