Hi guys,
I have a problem with my sega saturn controller and was looking to get some feedback on what needs to be done.

I have the controller, still in working condition, except for the detachment from the controller plug-In and the base exposing the wires. Now I'm not quite sure how I would go about fixing the controller. I did just try the common solution, squeezing them both together but that didnt work.

Any suggestions?

You could probably use a tiny bit of super glue to hold it back together, shouldn't hurt it any.

If it's working properly, great but be careful. Before you glue it, open the plastic cover up fully and be sure all the wires are still connected. I glued one like that and one of the wires were pulled off and I had to reopen it and fix the wire, then glue it again. The second opening was a bitch and the two pieces cracked pretty bad. Measure twice, cut once. LOL

This thread must have cursed me.

I was playing the Saturn last night and my controller cord came loose just like in your photos (I was changing controllers). My first thought was to use a couple pieces of black electrical tape, but I may try the glue method.

The problem is the "grippy" part on the plug, I think. It's back far enough and the port grips pretty good so you still have to pinch firmly to get it out. Causes a slight separation on the front and the inside thing eventually pops out. If you were to grip it as close to the front-side (right next to the port) as possible, that might help stop this from happening altogether.

@todesengel: Thanks for the suggestion, I have just ordered Gorilla Super Glue.

@Icarus Moonsight: I am not exactly sure how to open up the controller end, and does it snap back together once you open it? Can you give a brief explanation on what you mean on the second post, if you may?

@Orion Pimpdaddy: Hahaha, sorry buddy. Any sucess in gluing it back together?

For future reference, we only need one good picture in order to help you... not 4! :P

I found that one in this condition. It has internal clips on the sides if I remember correctly. The way I had to open mine won't help you much, since mine was glued first. It should just pry apart and you might snap the clips off but... If you are going to glue it anyway, might as well take a good look before you seal it up. Completely your call, especially since you seem sure that it works fine.
