I'm glad this one came up. It's a game I've always wanted to play since I first saw the cabinet in a Big Bear grocery store in Chillicothe, Ohio many years ago. But have never gotten around to trying.

Based on what KLOV says, it's a Crazy Climber style game. I'm not that experienced with Crazy Climber either, but I have played it a bit, and quite enjoyed it. I guess I enjoy games where you climb the outsides of buildings.
Download the game...play it and talk about it in this thread.
If you need the ROM, you'll be able to get it from http://www.robohara.com/mameclub/
Have fun!

There's probably a natural tie in to some of the Room of Doom threads here ;)
Man I have to get on this Mameage. I bought a dual Tankstick that's sadly underutilized.

I used to work at a movie theater that had this game, back in the early 90's! I instantly loved it because it was essentially an updated Crazy Climber.
Playing it on mame is pretty hard, if you're playing it with a keyboard. I usually map the fire button to the space bar. Fortunately, I use my 360 controller for a MAME controller.

Oh yeah, I guess I did forget that it was a dual joystick game...with a fire button. Time to break out the joypad!

Wow, guess I'll actually use the L3 button on my PSX controller!

I only discovered this one recently, but I loved it right away. I've put off the PCB since I'm not sure I'm set up for dual sticks though. I always found that Crazy Climber had a bit too much repetition in the controls (coupled with a learning curve to start) but this is pretty easy to instantly get into.
Incidentally, this is the second "climbing" game from Data East we've had recently (the previous was my spectacularly unsuccessful choice of the single-joystick Noboranka.

One of my favorite arcade games ever. Used to play it at the bowling alley with one person on the sticks, a second person pounding the fire button. Note that you don't need to use the fire button - push both sticks inward to fire.

I like this one a lot better than crazy climber. It seemed much easier to control and you can shoot. It took me a while, but I finally managed to get past the 1'st tower. And that was using a keyboard without the use of my right index finger(sort of a stupid shaving accident).

I don't dislike the game, but I can't get my controls configured like I want. I'm using a USB gamepad much like a dual shock, but it seems overly difficult. So far I've only managed go get halfway up the first building. Those sheets that float up are evil, and get me nearly every time.

I finally got around to playing this one. I like it, but I think I need to, as other's have said, work a bit more with the controls to get them in a place where I like them.
It's 3:30 AM right now, I'm heading to bed...so expect the next game late morning / early afternoon.
And if it's ok, I'll choose the game...as it's my birthday later this week. Running this thing has it's perks :)
