Maybe this will pave the way for more first party Dreamcast titles on XBLA (Jet Grind Radio, PSO, and Shenmue PLEASE!!!)

Tbh I'd much rather see SA 1 & 2 (and Heroes if possible) released as a bundle for 360 and PS3- same goes with Shenmue, largely as I can't see anyway they'll compress that behemoth down small enough for release on Live arcade. GoD, on the other hand... :-)

Oh and to that above list of yours please also add Skies of Arcadia, Crazy Taxi and (oh god please please please PLEASE) ChuChu Rocket. :D

There doesnt seem to be an XBLA size limit anymore, so compression isnt as important as it was.

It would definitely be nice to see some good DC titles make the XBLA network. I'm going to have to go along with @SegaAges and say it HDD upgrade time.

Hopefully it turns out better than Sonic Adventure DX.

I don't get the hate for DX. I'm playing through Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast and I'm noticing the same issues DX has. Well, whatever the case, it's good to see Sega rereleasing something other than Genesis games.

Which brings up another issue- here's hoping they don't just skip over the Saturn era and games like NiGHTS (obviously) and Burning Rangers (most definitely).

I think a lot of the hate for Sonic Adventure DX was the fact that it was years later and they had the chance to perfect the problems that many people had found with the original Dreamcast version. Instead they slapped on a bunch of GameGear titles and sloppy missions as add-ons, redid the character models and released it with all the glitches and choppiness of the original.

Agreed. They even did a half-ass job with the character models, tweaking only the six main characters, which really made them stand out against the older models still in the game, such as Robotnik.

Yeah. Tikal still looked pretty bad what with the flappy polygon styled hands. Chaos could have had a tune-up also in the graphics department. Alot of the movements and waypoints in cutscenes could have also been improved considerably.

Pretty much. Also, they made it run at 60 fps (the original is 30), but it can't hold that framerate for shit. Sonic Adventure 2 for Dreamcast is 60 fps and very rarely dips, so there's no reason SADX, a technically less-demanding game on a more powerful system, couldn't have been a constant 60 fps. Hell, even when the Dreamcast launched, I thought it was lame that Sonic Adventure wasn't 60 fps.
