I knew it was going to happen solely because every other game they've released in the series has been ported to the system.

I forgot who told me that it was built with the touch screen in mind but yeah. I looked up Knights in the Nightmare when I was told that and yeah, the game is designed entirely for the touch screen. So I honestly wonder how it's going to work out on the PSP.

As announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu, a PSP version of Knights in the Nightmare is in the works. New features include tutorial missions, a database of character chats in a talk collection, and an animated opening movie.

Knights in the Nightmare’s unique blend of tactical RPG maps and bullet hell dodging seemed built with a touch screen in mind. Not sure how that awesome-ness will convert to the PSP. Analog stick and holding a shoulder button to select units, perhaps? The scan circulating is pretty hard to read. We’re not even sure of the release date, which Japanese message boards are reporting as April 22.

I'd think the PSP analog nub will suffice for proper control. Won't be the same, or as simple/precise, but it will work. The DS game was only supposed to have sold ~35k copies, so a PSP port is kind of a surprise to me.
