SNES Dieing?

My SNES is only displaying in black and white with composite cords and looks terrible in S-video. Problem is, this is only for 2/4 of the tvs in my house. Is this problem snes or tv side?

I have a feeling it might be this specific revision of snes. It's th one with the word "eject" PRINTed onto the eject button instead of being in raised plastic lettering.

That's the first version (PCB# SHVC-CPU-01) but I'm not aware of any recurrent problem with that version...What if you take out the RF shield at the bottom? The later revisions didn't have it.

Anyway, if it doesn't happen in every TV I would say that it's the TV what is at fault.

Sigh, I removed the RF shielding on the bottom of the system and NO change. Must be this TV or this SNES. I'm leaning towards the tv...damn trinitrons
