Broken Sega CDX

Any ideas what this is worth? It doesn't power on at all. It looks like the bottom has been opened (it's missing a single screw). I'd like to get rid of it for a fair price. I don't know the history of it, I bought it in a boxed lot of goods.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Maybe worth $5-$10 as they are, the system really is a pain to open or repair.

I've found a FAQ which explains somewhat how to open it and possibly repair it(if it doesn't turn on at all). I've barely been able to find any info about repairing this system.
