Has anyone ever tried this combo?

I recently got a PAL B Aladdin, however when I got around to testing it out I ran into trouble. The game seems to start fine and gets to the title screen and even the brief story segment before the game begins. However, once the actual game starts the game just locks up and the graphics go garbled.

My system has the lockout chip disabled and I have some other PAL B NES games that play without issue.

Tried cleaning it. Tried looking at the board for anything strange. Left wondering: Bad game or some weird incompatibility?

I think Aladdin is one of the games that isn't compatible with a NTSC system.
You're kind of lucky though, because the game is pretty bad.

The latter. There are a few games that are straight up unplayable when they switch from 50/60 hz, this is one of them. Asterix is a garbled mess while Ufouria and Hammerin' Harry can be played quite well on the system. Just depends on the game unfortunately.
