As I'm searching around for games, nearly all of them are listed as "New with plastic case." Where are the boxes? Why are they considered new?

GRG,

I was looking at those too. There areso many loose games on ebay right now. I think people are buying sets that have the NGP system and about 8 games (all loose games). I thought that EBgames or Gamestop was selling them , but I can't find them now. My guess is they are breaking up the sets to sell the pieces individually.

Does anyone know who sells those sets now?

I think someone said on this board a few months ago that SNK had sold their remaining stock to wholesalers, but hadn't yet printed the boxes for many of those late-produced games. Hence they're new, but they aren't complete, which is something not often seen, huh?

Don't quote me on this ,though.

Lik-Sang has/had a ton of them cheap w/o the boxes, so that's probably where they got them.

SNK/Playmore emptied out their warehouses lately. When they shut down production on the NGPC, they had a lot of carts made but hadn't had the boxes or manuals printed, so they just shoved thousands and thousands of late release games in the warehouses. Now they've sold off that excess inventory to retailers and all of the games are now hitting the net like mad. I'd be willing to bet that the price of boxed NGPC games SKYROCKETS because of this...it's gonna drive collectors nuts trying to find boxed ones!

The store at www.play-asia.com has been selling some of this warehouse stock lately. The first two are just game and plastic case. The people that frequent www.insertcredit.com supposedly make use of this store all the time.
