Anyone else noticed the forum has slowed to a crawl the last couple of days? network problems? too many hits??

The site has been getting a tremendous amount of hits. Kind of shotgun though it looks to be centered on the game rooms page. When I take the game rooms page down, the performance speeds up. I'm switching between keeping them up and down now until things get back to normal.
If anyone knows where the DP site has been featured that would bring such a massive onslaught of new visitors I'd like to know and see the source!

I haven't noticed anything over the past few days, but right now as I write this, the site is pretty slow. It's the first I've noticed it.
DP, speaking of Gamerooms, you never updated mine with the pics I sent you 3 weeks ago. Have I been bad?

Hmm. You're right! If you sent me the links via PM that would explain it. I'm really bad at following up on those. Can you email the pictures or the link to them to me at digitalpress@email.com? I'll make the changes tonight or tomorrow. Sorry 'bout that!

Okey doke. I'll remember that next time. I'll get around to sending the pics in email sometime this week. Thanks.

I noticed it today only, but it hasn't been too bad, just a vague overall slowdown. I just figured it was my ISP.

I just started noticing recently (today), alot of slowdown, but I'm sure (read: hoping) things will be back to normal soon.

It was unbearably slow this morning. Maybe DP got slashdotted.

www.Hardocp.com It's fallen off the news page now, but it used to say something like 'Think you're a hard core gamer? Check these [link to game room page] guys out! They have basements full of game systems!' [H]ardocp is a PC game/hardware review sites. I don't visit there often, but I was looking for the Doom ]|[ benchmarks they had (they got an official benchmark from id Software), and stumbled across the link (which was 404 at the time) to the game rooms.
Edit: Found it in the news archives, looks like it was a slow day Tuesday June 17.
"Got Games?
If you think you got games (http://www.digitpress.com/gameroom/index.htm) or a kick ass game room, you need to check this site out. There are people here that have thousands of games on display giving even the most die hard game fan a little “game envy”. Thanks Iceman."
